Hey guys,

I've been meaning to upgrade my Harris S bipod to an Atlas and I think the time has come. My rifle is currently in an AICS 1.5 which gives me the option of mounting the pod to the forward sling swivel, or screwing into the front of the forearm under the barrel.

My questions:

1- What is that mounting type called? (the one that screws into the front of the forearm)

2- Is there any advantage to that mount type vs sling swivel or picatinny mount?

Thanks in advance guys!

That's the one, thank you! Damn, the adaptor alone is $70. Gonna have to save a few more pennies before I'll be able to purchase the package.

Any of you guys know of a system that allows the rifle to tilt on the Atlas like the Harris S does?

The Atlas sits on a ball mount that allows for smooth yaw, pitch and roll. Way more than the Harris units. And yes, get the spigot mount. I'll throw in a pitch for the spiked feet as well.
I've had my Atlas for about a year and recently went shot a rifle with a Harris with a pod-lock.....the Harris felt primitive compared to the Atlas, particularly in yaw- this is useful in shooting movers traveling across the shooter's field of view...I.e. left to right..

Good to know, I wasn't sure if they had that kind of movement incorporated. I have a buddy with the spiked feet on his Atlas. I would consider buying them just for the looks, they are mean!
