Hi,

Anyone into AR-15 carbines in pistol calibers other than 9mm or 45ACP ?

i.e.

38SA
9x25 Dillon
9mm Win Mag
10mm
40 Super
45 Win Mag
50AE

Why.

There are enough dumb $2000+ ARs that burn up their own price in ammo in 1 or 2 good shooting sessions as it is.

As far as not 9x19 & 45ACP, there's a couple of production models in .40S&W. (ATI JRC and Olympic)

Hi KSwift,

I think if one reloads, you've really got to be hosing down some targets to burn $ 2000 USD worth of heads, powder and primer, in either 9mm or 45, in the space of two range outings. I guess you must be a rock and roll, spray and pray, full auto shooter ? Regret the country I live in does not consider it safe for private individuals to fire their bullets that quickly.

I've seen a wildcat that used the 357 bullets, but have yet to see a rimmed case in a black rifle.

I'm working on a direct impingement 45 now

Hell yeah. Awesome sub-gun round. I believe the HK MP5 could/can be had in 10mm.

Honestly though, 40SW makes a lot mire PRACTICAL sense.

Hell, for what 223 costs, its hard to find a much cheaper caliber.
