I'm looking to buy a new blasting cabinet and was wondering what some of ya'll were using??? I have up to $1200 to spend on it and want something fairly decent and tough. Thanks.

For $1200, I would be looking at $2000 to $3000 class used units with dust collector systems on craigslist and ebay.
There are lots of them under $1200.

I'll see if I can find anything used locally. I was thinking something along the lines of this Grizzly. I'm kind of wondering if one brand was better then another???

Whatever you get get a dust collection system with it.
Without that, you can only blast for a very short period of time before you can't see what you are doing anymore...

Check out TP tools in Canfield, OH.
I got my cabinet from them. They make all sizes.
Your budget will get you a very good setup as long as you already have a compressor. Avoid the really cheap top-loading cases that don't lock closed. They are dust ejectors.

That's the exact setup I bought in 1998. Still going strong, though I upgraded to a bigger dust collector. I added a side-saddle (extension) to it, but unless you are doing huge items, no need.
That cabinet will last a lifetime. Maybe more. Great choice.
A couple of accessories... dual lights. Get the hardened/carbide nozzles for the gun. The regular ones wear out too fast. Always have a spare vacuum motor handy. They do go and having an ability to swap one out is convenient. And don't bother with the plastic protectors on the plexi. Don't even buy plexi from TP. Get your local hardware store to cut you entire sheets into new windows. 1/10 the price of the TP windows and they are disposable. I think I get 8 out of a full sheet of plexi from the hardware store.
Great choice. You won't be unhappy!

I have seen guys make replacement side doors with a big box sticking out to fit longer items into the cabinet...

As was said, look for a used model with particulate collection - you'd be amazed at just how much it catches. I have an ABS Products cabinet.

I had a piece of automotive glass cut for my cabinet to replace the plexi glass. 2 years now and still in perfect shape. Only cost about $30

This was one says it comes with a tempered glass lens.

Great. You should never have to change it. My cabinet is a cheap with a shopvac for a dust collector. Ill b upgrading soon as well with a to unit
