Gunsmithing Blueprinting vs Square & Lap Remington 700 Action

It's mostly personal preference. I think it's worth doing, if for no other reason than to add some confidence in the build. If you are on a tight budget, a really good trigger goes a long way.

Is it worth doing?

My thoughts: By itself, no. If one was to go through the trouble and stab a rinky dink barrel installed in a half ass way, all the blueprinting in the world isn't going to fix anything.

It's when a guy takes the time to have all the I's/T's dotted and crossed that the bump in performance starts to reveal itself. Blueprinting makes a great gun exceptional. It does not make however get a pig a phone number or a 2nd date.

I've spent a great deal of time and money doing this very kind of work at about as high a level as reasonably possible. I've also done well into the thousands of receivers.

We can have you knocked out in a few days and add a number of other features if interested. Happy to help.

C.

All my 700s on built rifles have been faced and lapped (lugways and lug to receiver faces) only. Bolt handles bolted on too. With the good clones available, IMO it makes no sense to dump the money into the stock remy action on a full blueprint.
