Gunsmithing bolt handle/torque wrench

Re: bolt handle/torque wrench

no one makes one of these at current. The belief that someone does is a great mis-direction of a video Lowlight posted, in which for some reason the rings made a 'click' sound and lead several people to belive it was in the bolt knob and was a torque click. That is not the case, and I think developing a torque bolt know, while not impossible, fits well beyond the realm of practicality.

Re: bolt handle/torque wrench

It is found on the current SnipersHide '09 build, you can see video in Lowlights posts on the build and also on the Vortex Razor review. It is a good idea for a back up, but has been widely disputed due to the typical lack of strength in common silver-solder method of attaching a handle to a bolt. If the handle is tig welded, it has definate merit.

Re: bolt handle/torque wrench

What I would suggest is a bolt knob with a simple 1/4" hex cavity, then somebody makes a torque attachment that fits this 1/4" hex cavity and accepts 1/4" hex driver bits.
