Bolt has small dent on the pin side. Is it okay to shoot? Will it affect accuracy?

I noticed dent on the bolt. Is it safe to shoot with it?

Color it in sharpie and cycle it in the action. Did it wear off? If not then it’s fine. If it wears then file the protuberance down until it clears. Hard to tell by your pics though, just looks a lil smooshed.

Thanks for a reply. Yeah, it is bit smooshed, but sharpie does not seem to wear when I move the bolt. Will it have an effect on accuracy?

OP not sure anyone is going to tell you its 'safe' to use damaged parts in a firearm.

That being all said, what happened to this bolt? is the damage from dropping it on the floor or is it from running the action?
