Gunsmithing Boltway Mandrel Bushings

Re: Boltway Mandrel Bushings

The rear bridge causes the boltway hole not to have a square edge so you really want to use a flat bushing back there.
You could possibly use a tapered bushing in front, but then you have to be sure you are keeping the bushing engaged in order to take advantage of the taper.
Flat bushings just make more sense, even though they do cost more.

I have an OD grinder setup so I just buy bronze bushings and turn/grind them myself.
