I thought I had at least a vague idea of what soldiers went through during combat from the media and documentaries, but this shed a whole new perspective. There were parts of the book so exciting where I was literally on the edge of my seat, I couldn't read fast enough. Other parts brought tears to my eyes. On top of that, I found myself laughing out loud at some of the joking done by these guys ...while they're being shot at!
If anyone has read this and can recommend something similiar, I would appreciate it.
