Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Borka torque wrench totally kicks ass, small simple well priced and dead nuts accurite, I checked mine on a torque wrench calibrating fixture, there is nothing better at any price IMHO.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

No need for the douche comments Lowlight. I haven't heard of them until now being that most of my time isn't spent on YouTube. I'm just looking for opinions from those who have used them.

Thanks

It looks like that at least 33,000 SH members out of 50,000 checked out two threads related to Borka Tools torque driver kits, and I think this is what Lowlight meant as being "a lot of people". By the way, there is quite a bit of actual users feedback from these two threads in Group Buy section:
MG3 torque driver kit
MG3-SRA torque driver kit

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

slapchop, talking to the site owner with that tone is a great way to be banned and stuck with youtube but what do I know.

I have two of them. They work and are simple to use.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

I purchased one of the Borka wrenches, and find it both fascinating in design and extremely useful. The small size means it can always be within reach, and an Altoids tin with a few bits and one extension meets every torque problem I'm likely to encounter.

One thing though, you must apply force at the locations indicated in the instructions, or you will not deliver the torque value you intended. It's no different than adding extensions to a conventional torque wrench - change the length, and you change the value.

Cheers...

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Blah, I cant find a place that has them in stock.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

I just shipped decent quantity to Steve from Triad Tactical.
Will be shipping basic version of the torque driver (Brownells #080-000-737) to Brownells tomorrow.
Dave Manson Precision Reamers has some quantity of MG version in stock, in their own black cordura pouch.
You can also place an order with me directly - check out Group section of SH for Borka Tools torque driver and MG3-SRA.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Thank You Boris. I sent you an email earlier. I looked again at the Group section and will resend an email with the order.

If I make payment tomorrow, any chance to receive it by Saturday to Ohio?

Much Appreciated

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

I bought a $50 Wheeler "Fat" torque wrench a few weeks ago. I know its probably a fat piece of Chinese poo but I hope it's better than not even using one haha. Basically I did something I thought I learned a long time ago not to do... waste hard earned money on something that is next to worthless when I should have saved a for little while and got the quality piece.

Going to get a Borka as soon as I can... Since properly torqued bolts and screws are high on the "critical list" of things to have, almost as important as the bullets.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Skeeter, with a statement of "Borka is like no where to be found"... all you're doing is showing your laziness and disrespect.

You obviously didn't look in the right places, and when you happened to stumble onto "one or more" of those places, you didn't look in.

Did you?

Well, I'm in a bit of disadvantge here relative to the Wheeler. I just started manufacturing and selling these products since the second quater of 2010, and my production capacity in the U.S. is still very far behind production capacity of Wheeler in China. Therefore, periodic shortages do happen from time to time, as demand continues to exceed supply. Sorry about it. But as Sean mentioned, there are places where Borka Torque Kits can be found, including Group Buy section on SH.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Like I said earlier, the Fat wrench is a fat piece of Chinese sh.t compared to the Borka and I'm sure is no where near as accurate. I wish I saved my $ and found a Borka, now I know. Will be after one of your wrenches as soon as I have the $.

Re: Borka Torque Wrench/Driver

Update: MG3 and MG3-SRA kits are now available from Triad Tactical, Rifles Only and directly from Borka Tools. I also shipped a quantity of torque drivers to Brownells (item # 080-000-737, basic configuration, no accessories). Liberty Optics is also expected to receive certain quantity of MG3 and MG3-SRA in approximately 2 weeks, or possibly, sooner. Will be also shipping MG3-SRA kits to Mile High Shooting Accessories next week. Dave Manson Precision Reamers (810-953-0732) got some quantity of both kits in stock, but Dave sells kits with his own pouches. Also, if you wish to contact John from 8541tactical.com - he may have a few kits available.

Some folks don't appreciate American made products any more, but they should. Small business and someone who supports the shooting sports is even more valuable, and the fact that in a torque wrench accuracy is the most important key goes without saying.

Like Atlas bipods and quality barrels, even if you have to wait for a Borka wrench they're well worth it.
