Gunsmithing Bottom metal for DPMS mags?

Can anyone tell me why a DPMS LR-308 mag or PMag has not been used in a detachable mag bottom metal for a Rem. 700? I realize there would be minor modifications to the receiver.

Any thoughts?

Mo Defina makes a magazine conversion that uses M-14 mags for .308 size cartridges or AR15 mags for .223.

I think you answered your own question, "modifications to the receiver."
