I’m looking for recommendations for new bottom metal/ trigger guard for a Remington 700 police with factory H.S stock. Drop in with out having to modify stock. I appreciate any suggestions.
Years ago I put in a steel bottom metal from pacific tool and gauge. It fit right in the factory inlet with little to no effort. They appear to still offer it but ptg has a horrible reputation today so I don't know what I would do.

My experince with the PTG drop in DBM was awful. The mags it uses are terrible, and mine wasn't even close to drop in. The Wyatts drop in DBM was much better. Just getting an m5 inkett and choosing an m5 bottom metal was way better than that. Lol
Mine was a bdl floorplate. It looks just like the factory one, but made out of steel instead. I think I remember the one for detachable mags was a pain for most people.
All depends if you want another BDL or you want DBM.
Hawkins make a very nice BDL that will be drop in.
PTG is the only drop in DBM.
You see the reviews above.
I have had more than 1 HS stock inletted for M5 pattern DBM.
KMW by Terry Cross is the top.
Hawkins is very solid for a more budget friendly option.
