I'm looking into getting a new bottom for my FN, since the stock magazine broke. I would like to have more than 4 rounds in the mag anyway. I have no idea what features to look at, or where to start looking. Badger seems to make some good stuff, but I was hoping to find something for less than 300 bucks. Can someone offer me some pointers?

CDI Precision. The bottom metal is about $200, but the inletting of your stock and action will run around $60. Great product, and accepts all the AICS mags (5 and 10 rounders).

Badger is for a Remmy action or clone only

Something I was pondering, if I would like to load long, is there a design that will allow me to do that and still feed from a mag, or are all designs mostly the same. In addition, if I bed my action, will I want to bed the bottom metal as well? Thanks,
