Maybe this has been asked before but I can't find an answer that satisfies my needs.

Gracie is a Remmy 700 aught six and has a standard Remmy BDL mag system in my HS stock. I want to upgrade the DBM and I keep seeing systems that use an AICS LA magazine, but in seaching the listed mags, I do not see a 30-06 option. Is everyone using the 300 winnie or something else?

300wm mags with feed lips bent. I'm about to try bending some myself actually for my 30-06. I got the PTG dbm that fits the BDL inlet. I'm thinking your factory mag system is different than a BDL, maybe I'm wrong though.

Yeah, thats what I am finding all over on the 300 winnies with bent lips... the current mag system is a cheapie off Brownells I believe, which is why I want to replace it with a beefier DBM system. If a gnat farts it causes the exist mag to not feed. I don't want to go though the hassle of buying a DBM that causes me to have to do inlet work, only to find out the magazines won't feed and I am back to square one. I am lazy. I want to do it right the first time. It is so much easier to research it up front than after the cutting starts. Thanks for the PTG comment.. I will go take a look at those.

I presume this is the tool being used to bend the lips?

hell no that costs half of another mag, I'm figuring my duckbill vise grips will work very nicely (sheet metal tools). Or careful use of regular pliers, or I could cut a groove in an oak 1x4 on the band saw to duplicate that tool, I'll let you know how it works out

Lol... I agree, but I chase sparks for a living so duckbills are not in my pouch... and I can read a direct short all day using my Fluke, but that wont help feed 178g through the receiver. Besides, I collect tools for my bench and roll around because I think I mentioned I am lazy as hell... if $30 bucks makes my life easy on the range, I am all for it....
