All rifles will be of the proper type no bench-rest rifles. I would suggest a sling if you have one. This covers all of the requirements of the weapons and ammo but bring what ever else you feel that you may need but know that it will all have to be carried with you down the course.
I may be asking a few of you to help me with the RO/scoring before or after you complete a shooting station but if you don't want to do this it's OK its not required just helpful.
We will hopefully be shooting by 8:30 am Saturday morning.
A few basic rules:
1.allowed calibers--223 rem up to 300 WM-WSM.
2. Nothing but standard ammo, no AP, tracer/incendiary etc.
3. No one will be allowed to leave the squads and go back up range to retrieve anything unless they clear it with the RO.
4. All standard range and match safety rules will be enforced anyone violating these may be disqualified. If you don't know these rules they will be posted at the match

Looks like a good time. Maybe next time?

The shoot went real well today, Rick sets up a pretty mean coarse sometimes. Just for all of your info, there will be another rifle shoot on May 21st at Bradford Shooting Farm. If you want some more info go to Ruashooter.com. or the Bradford site. They would love to have more participation at the shoots. A fellow shooter named Rick runs the Ruashooter web site and the shoots, just drop him a email and he'll give you all the info you need.

You will more than likely have a very hard time finding many matches that shoot steel and allow the use of a 338 closer than 850 yards...Something to consider.

I'm finding that out but I can't exactly see why. I shoot steel with it at 200 and have several hundred rounds into 1 plate with no ill effects other than a few dimples and the round evaporates into powder. I suppose if they're using low grade steel or really light plates I could see it.
