I’ve been out of the AR scene for a few years now. I’m needing a 13.7” barrel for a rifle I’m wanting to build. Cost isn’t really a factor. What are some current options? Brands? Properly sized gas port would be nice.

    Thanks,

I've got a Rosco 13.7 that surprisingly shoots lights out. Consistently 3/4 moa or under with a generic 77gr load and moa or a little better with my 55gr load. I've had it to 800 yards with a 70% hit ratio on a 16" plate in moderate wind. Way more barrel than I was expecting for the price.

Are you using an adjustable gas block or no? I’ll be suppressed with the Vltor A5 setup and mid length gas. Hoping it’s BB gun-ish with 62gr Xtac.
No adjustable gas block, it's the standard lo-pro one. I'm also using a Radian SD charging handle to deal with some of the gas coming back. It should be noted that my support hand has a fair amount of carbon on it after shooting; I'm pretty sure it's coming out of the back of the can (I'm using a SF 3 prong FH, will probably switch to a MB since this will be suppressed probably 90% of the time).

I bought a 13.7" Ballistic Advantage barrel from primary arms. Came with a tight fitting, low profile gas block. It actually shoots very well. Pinned and welded a Keymo brake adapter to get to 16" and bought an SLR fore-end to just clear the threads. Really happy with it.

ETA: apologies, it's a 13.9" which is required for the Keymo brake to get to 16". 2.6" brake, losing .5" for barrel threads. It's the Hanson profile. Pretty slick, like it's made for this application with the Keymo

After some thought, I realized I was going to need a 13.9 vs a 13.7 in order to have enough threads clear the end of the Geissele MK14 13.5" rail Im going to be using. I like your rifle setup. Now to find a 13.9 in stock somewhere......

Do you recall how long your rail is?
