What,if anything did it do to your bore? Is the brass fouling much different than Copper fouling?Lehigh says they spin them at 8000rpm on a lathe, claim less pressure and a 50 fps velocity gain over 250gr jacketed bullets, the BC they claim is almost .891(don't quote me on that)but it is pretty high.

Re: Brass Bullets ???

as near as i can tell there was no adverse effects to the bore, the rifle i used to test it with still gives me silver dollar sized groups at 100 yd.

i have no idea what solid copper bullets would do in a .224 dia.
the solid copper Barnes bullets for my .499LWR is no different than a copper jacket bullet, but then the velocity is 1,000 FPS less too.

Re: Brass Bullets ???

Barnes sugegsts a longer jump with their solid copper projectiles, apparently to address pressure spike issues. I'm thinking similar tactics might show benefit with solid brass bullets. I have used factory handgun ammunition that would appear to have brass jacket materials, with no obviously different effects.

Beyond that, I'm guessing.
