Switching from Fed to Lapua. My fed weigh's around 176.5 and the Lapua weigh's around 173.5.Shooting 168's how much do you think my powder charge will change?

3 grains isn't too much to get worried about in a .308 class cartridge.

I would load up 3 .3 under, at and .3 over you current charge weight. Go shoot them in what ever method you subscribe too, I prefer the OCW method.

Take you results and apply it to your change. This usually works for me.

Thanks,my load is 42.7 varget with fed and it did not like that so I went .3 over and it did not like that.I have not gone under yet.

Brux, the 3 grain difference in case weight is nearly nothing. After I have fired my Lapua cases about 5 times, the weight will often vary about 3 grains from the lightest to the heaviest, perhaps about 171 grains to 174 grains. You may need to up your charge weight by a tenth of a grain of powder, but likely your load will remain the same. Ammo temp and/or ambient temp may play a small role.
