Brass & Copper turned bullets for hunting

Greetings to all,

I learned of a company called Velocity Tactics today and got to finger their ammo and projectiles. They make a 123 grain .264 CNC turned 100% copper bullet. The bullet has a point on it, no hollow point. They also sell a CNC turned 100% brass bullet with a point.

Does anybody have any experience with these guys or with hunting with their ammo/projectiles? The BC is super high on their rounds, which would be great, but if it is going to punch through animals and keep on going, that does me no good.

Secondary question, brass or copper CNC turned bullets, what is the difference??

I will take medium sized game with a match bullet all day. Done so with AMAX and Scenars, Prime states they are rated for animals as well. Although Velocity Tactics claims to have some magic "tumble on impact" technology for terminal performance, Colorado Law states clearly "expanding" bullet for centerfire. These bullets may be the next best thing, but Id rather dial up a few more clicks then lose my hunting privileges. If you live in a state that allows them, hell I would try both.

With AMAXs and Scenars you're shooting jacketed bullets with a hollow point getting some expansion. With a turned brass/copper tipped bullet it would seem you're not going to get much expansion. I wouldn't use them on an animal personally without seeing proof that they would expand upon hitting a soft target.
