I set temp at 280 in oven let the brass dry in there for 30 mins i did stick the brass in as it was preheating. I feel like I messed the brass up cause of how it turned out and cause of the element heating up!?!? Any advice?

They came out all off colored and down by the head some have developed a line

The discolouration is from shit in your water, or a lack of good rinse.

That line looks like the end of the scuff from the sizing die. You can check the inside for a ring with an unwound paper clip.

I highly doubt that you ruined it.
