Breakfast Today

Did you cut the brats or just eat 'em down whole the long way?

Looks good, breakfast is the best meal of the day.

My kids have no sens of what they are missing.

Trying to get son to eat eggs.

Wife thinks poached and a bunch of pussy ways to cook one are the way to go.

I say "Negative Ghost Rider"

I just cooked him a fried egg in butter (bacon fat would have been better but I'd already slurped it all down and had to start him from a clean cast iron pan).

The egg was beautiful, crispy edges perfect browning - still won't eat it.

There is little hope for the future judging by east coast kids actions.
Sorry kids eating habits today are direct results of parents not enforcing the law at the table.
When I was a kid growing up in the 70’s there was not a choice if Johnny ate his chard or spinach, or squash you ate what was set forth from the cook, period.
And you did not leave if you did not eat it.
I spent a lot of time with my aunt and uncle growing up, My uncle was from Arkansas and was a true Arkie when he grew up in Arkansas his father was a share cropper and they did not have electricity when he grew up.
When you ate at uncle Danny’s table you ate was was set forth believe that !
And I am a better man today because of it, I love all things green and and there is not much I don’t like. I am thankful for the old world forceful eating habits of my youth.

I agree.

Ill PM you my wifes cell number so you can tell her.

As a kid growing up on a large for the time farm (70’s), we were always hungry. Mom fed us well, however, there were a couple of things I didn’t care for. In those cases, I filled up on potatoes. Work ‘em hard and they’ll eat. Work ‘em hard and they’ll sleep. We ate what was put in front of us, mom didn’t run a buffet. Raised mine the same way. This is what we’re having...period.

Each of our children were allowed one item they did not have to eat.

Not per meal just one for all time.

It was the appearance of having a choice, kind of like we vote these days.
