From other sources, perp is reported to have suffered significant injuries himself when the accelerant and vapors flashed as he ignited it. Currently in hospital under police guard. No motive yet.

Initial death toll was 10. Until they found more people trapped inside after the blaze was put out. Now up to 33 confirmed with 5 still unaccounted for. From all that is known, perp had hit the target with full intent to kill. Morning rush hour had just ended and all employees had showed up for work.

Diagram that shows where the victims had been found. 19 were found on the 2nd-3rd floor staircase. 11 were found in the 2nd floor conference room, possibly trying to get out through the windows, 1 was found in the 2nd floor stairwell entrance, possibly tried to use that method of egress and was overwhelmed by the heat and smoke channeling up from below, and 2 were found in a ground floor lounge area. It appears the motherfucker dumped the accelerant through the front entranceway, located right next to the stairs. You can see how fast and hot the fire got from the burn pattern on the one side of the building in Post #1.

That building design had major faults too. No fire escape and no rear egress/secondary stairs. My money is on someone who is intimately familiar with how the building was laid out in order to inflict the highest casualties ie., former employee or contractor. Also the time of day he chose was not just the busiest hour of work but when managers, editors, and IT people from other firms had been in there attending meetings and programs as well.

That said, older and more flammable structures with limited exit points and natural 'fatal funnels' such as only one narrow staircase with high occupation density gives me the fucking heebie jeebies when I am in them. With a mass shooter, I can shoot back, lay a counter ambush and keep others in my immediate area safe by fortifying the area (much easier to do when a man with a gun is also present to match an active shooter bullet for bullet). Fire, on the other hand, fucking unnerves me to no end.

The son of a bitch was completely nuts... Said the company stole his novel. He never wrote a novel. He also demanded to "talk to the president of the company" before igniting the accelerant. There had been no known correspondence between him and the studio prior to the fatal attack.

American and leftist western media has very little coverage on this case, most likely because it did not involve a firearm, or more specifically, an "assault rifle". If it did, they'd be on it 24/7 like flies on shit.
