Howdy,
My brother-in-law is really stirring up crap in my wife's family, and I need to know some facts. He has told his younger siblings that when he served in Iraq, he did so as a sniper. He is a world-class bullshipper, and I want to call his bluff. He has sent my wife/his sister his DD-214's, showing his combat action medal. He states that the B4 designation is left off his DD-214 to protect himself and his family.
Please understand, I am not discounting his tours in Iraq. I served in the Navy during Desert Storm. However, there are better men than him that sacrificed much more than him that are seriously dishonored by his false bravado.
I have copies of his DD-214's - is there anything on them that I should look for that would definitively say yes he was a sniper or no he was not?
