Brown Eagle drag bag??

I've had a used Eagle drag bag for a few years now. The best way I can describe it is doo-doo brown with black webbing.

Anyway, I got it from a surplus store down at Benning. I was told by the seller that several lots of these bags came from the sniper school. I'm trying to confirm this information or perhaps the seller was blowing smoke up my rear.

Anyone used one of these bags?

I beleive that brown was an issue item for the military by eagle. The seller was most likely telling you the truth.

Can't say for sure about it being military issue, but that was my understanding. I don't care if it is, it only matters that it works for me. I have one in Multicam and am very happy with its quality and operation.

FWIW, I had one that looked exactly like that when I was with a STA Platoon in the Marines.

i got 2 that came from that ao, they told me it was from benning.

just my .02... but I don't buy anything or pay extra for an item solely because it is military issue. The eagle bag is a great piece of gear, but I spent my own money so I could have quality gear to replace some of the hot garbage I was issued at CIF.

When I got it, it had about 20 lbs. of crud and dirt in it.
The main zipper was broke too.

I think I paid $60 for it.

I cleaned it up and sent it back to Eagle. They replaced the zip free of charge.

Can't go wrong with Eagle in my book.

I was speaking in general terms. As stated above... I purchased one myself... at full list price and still love the bag. You got an outstanding deal... saved around $200. And the lifetime warranty is a great bonus. Eagle is a great company... i'm not bashing them.

I have the exact same one. Still has the unit marking number ( sharpie). Bought it off ebay 2 years ago. Sent it to eagle for repairs and it came back in good shape

I like the color a lot. Too bad they are not making it anymore.
