Brownells Shipping Issues

Anyone else having huge issues with Brownells over the past couple of years?

Most recently, I ordered about $850 worth of stuff and chose the generic one day shipping at check out about two weeks ago. I've been on their chat, talked to reps on the phone (there were 330 people ahead of me in the queue), sent emails... no one can tell me why the order hasn't shipped. Worse, I get weird responses from "Beth" via email from the orderdesk account saying things like "a replacement package has been picked but they can't ship it to my PO Box" when my order and invoice state my physical address as shipping...

My last order through them, they sent me someone else's order. The order before that, they shipped way late....

What the hell is happening there? I'd kind of like to have some sort of reality TV show dedicated to their shit show, just so I could view their train wreck of fulfillment. Lol

They got way too big for their britches IMO.
That, and being one of the bigger suppliers to our sport, they may be under attack by hackers/bots/glowies/etc driven by the evil leftists. I figure they'll be attacking us as individuals soon.

It's not just Brownells. Early this week I ordered a MRO and a set of MBUS for a new ar build from Palmetto State. I got tracking today for the rear sight.

Their customer service (or lack thereof) really leads me to believe the too big for their britches theory. It's like they genuinely just don't care about their customers, and some of the online chat folks show an outright disdain for us. Lol

There’s another thread about this on the hide. Short answer is yes, they’re a mess right now.

I’ve placed two orders with them since mid-May, both for in stock items. First one took 2 weeks to ship and another week and a half to show.

Second one, I placed the order a week and a half ago. Just got a shipping notification today.

They have a problem where their website shows stuff that they don’t have because it’s not real time.

I gave up on them a couple of years ago when they kept promising something was going to ship that they didn’t have.

You joined 3 years ago, you have 225 posts under your belt, and suddenly you have a beef and this is the first time you let is know? I smell a troll. Kinda like fish, only worse (than a shit house door on a tuna boat), go away troll and take your brethren with you.

I placed an order a few days ago and have not even received the conformation email.

Another problem with Brownells is they don’t always have what they show in stock, then they’ll jerk you around for days blaming UPS (even though the item hasn’t shipped) and after numerous phone calls someone finally admits they didn’t have the item in stock when you ordered it.
You work for Brownells, did I hurt your feelings? I did bring this up before, 2 years ago and I’m no troll.

Anymore brownells is my last option. If no one else has it then I buy from brownells if I absolutely have to have it. And I've been buying from them for close to 30 years. But lately something seems off. Now Larry gets my money, yes he fucks you a bit on price but man he's a great kisser.

I gotta feeling kimbergold ** is spot on in his assessment.
I've also had issues with Brownells, and this was years ago.
Their prices have always been high, their shipping has always been slow.
Midway might have high prices but no one can fault them, they get the shit out like yesterday, absolute perfect shipping department.
Amazon has it's faults, shipping is not one of them.
There are lots of places that might be iffy in some aspects but get it to you quick, I for one respect that.
I recently purchased some 308 ammo from BattleHawk armory, on the 3rd (it just clocked over to the 11th).
It has (apparently) not shipped yet.
The price was killer and the emails I have gotten from them confirmed it was indeed in stock.
I will never do business with them again due to this.
If they had just sent a simple email saying that we are seeing some (whatever) sort of difficulty, it would probably make me be OK with them.
A little effort on the sellers part goes a long ways.
I'll be buying from SGAmmo and a few other select places from here out.
The prices might be a bit higher, but they get the shit to you well packed, discreet (important if it's gun parts or ammo) and quick as all hell.

Brownells has been hit or miss for a couple years now. If they have something I need I buy it knowing fully that I might not see it for a couple weeks. I ranted on here 3-4 years ago on an order of mine the royally fucked up.

Welcome to the world of "AI"..... Time to go take the class on "Dealing with Artificial Inteligence 101"...
You are just not using the key phrases and words that the AI system understands. You may have to break down and speak with a real person. However the world of voice AI is gaining popularity.... Welcome to the New World Order

For me it took them two weeks to process an order for allegedly all in stock items, and now the package went out via FedEx SmartPost where it’s almost two weeks for everything to make it’s way to New Jersey. Definitely not going to be purchasing anything from them anymore.

Not sure if ya’ll heard, but shipping is a shot show for everyone right now.

I cant remember the last time I even looked at their site let alone bought something from them.

They haven't been the cheapest, with shit in stock, for a LONG time.

Receiving packages nearly everyday and this has been the only instance where it’s this absurdly slow. Optics Planet, Euro Optic, Area 419, Atlas, and a handful of other companies have been on point.

Wait...so, he needs more than 225 posts in order to share his experience and attitude toward Brownell's???

I get that piece. But they haven't even shipped it. Lol
And then one of their reps responded to me via email on the "OrderDesk" account implying that the package got lost...even though she couldn't provide a tracking number. Then, she said that a new package was being sent out, but they had a PO box as my address. I responded with the original invoice with my correct physical shipping address, and it has been several days of silence since. Again, no tracking info.
To make things even more strange, their customer service reps on the phones have absolutely no record of that conversation, and seemed genuinely perplexed.
It's absolutely bizarre. Lol

Bet it gets a lot more clear if you do a charge back on your CC.

Not the friendliest way about it, but if you are getting stiffed then it often will get a vendor’s attention as the last thing they want is problems w their CC service account.

Probably my best course of action...but I really just want me damn stuff! 🥺🥺🥺

I've been buying stuff from them for years. Hardly ever had a problem. Thursday morning I bought some mags. They were delivered this afternoon. I have the Edge program for their free 2-day shipping option, so maybe that helps? I don't know...

recently ordered some AR10 parts that i needed quick. paid the $20 for 2 day delivery. it was 4 days. phone call yielded a 1700 min wait with about 4000 in que. no call back option,NA form email. live chat= "we're not here right now". service a year ago was better than midway, wnich has been terrible 5yr +. now it's worse if that's possible.

Ordered 6/28 as of yesterday it was still showing as order preparing to ship. Contacted them through chat yesterday. Was told my order was in the final stages of preparing to ship. Now my order history has disappeared and I get this message

Order history will not be available unless you have previously selected "I wish to have access to my Order History" plus the order information has been updated following order processing by Brownells.
I guess I'll give them another week, then contact cc company.

Fun update...just had to hang up on their customer service. They said they needed to forward me over to claims, and that there was no wait to talk to them. Fifteen minutes later, I gave up.

This company is a train wreck.

Someone just sent a cryptic email to me, not a member according to records, and giving me ultimatums about Class Action Lawsuits regarding False Advertising regarding a CMMG something?

I have no friggin clue what this person is talking about and this is the only thread I can find on anything close

@lowlight I demand that you cease and desist all business with the title company I am using as they are a bunch of assholes!

I AM tOtAlY SerIOuS this time and not fucking around!

Buy from brownells, don't buy from brownelles but make sure you WHINE ABOUT IT LOUDLY ON THE FORUMS.

Looks like my order is scheduled to arrive 3 weeks after ordering

They have become very s-l-o-w in recent... years? To the point they've become a last option for things.

My only experience with them in recent years was an order I placed for a Bore Tech Bolt Action Cleaning Kit that was on sale at the time. I placed the order online on the evening of 2/16/2021 and it was delivered on 2/19/2021. I live in Iowa so maybe that helps.

Well if it's full on cry fest... I placed an order recently with them as they were the only one with the item in stock. $79 item. (my discount got it down to $76?) The other item I needed was $38? Midway had it in stock (which says a lot that I even looked there as I swore them off a few years ago, despite having spent ungodly sums of money with them every year since the late 80's), Midway wanted $16.00
Now Brownells has always been a tad high, but I came to accept that decades ago. But more than twice as much? I was able to pay additional shipping charges and still save $12-14

Tried ordering from Dillon lately? Apparently they updated their website and, per their auto-phone message cannot ship orders to include warranty parts or access existing orders. I ordered a die on 30 May. At the time, website indicated it would ship in 2 - 4 weeks. Tried to get an update for the past week, but phone calls result in indefinite hold times. You no longer have the option to select a return call. Sent an email and received a auto-response that I would be contacted in 1 - 3 days. That was two weeks ago.

I contacted my CC company earlier today and asked them to reverse the charge. A friend is sending me a die.
