I have been looking for 300. win mag brass for a couple weeks now and i found a company fairly close by who told me the only brass they have left is Browning brass at a great price. I have read 2 differen't places that Norma makes there brass for them but somewhere else that a Europe and that its really good brass actually.

Now since i haven't been able to locate any other brass really, especially in the same lot# i was curious if anyone knew anything about Browning brass?

Matt,

Last time I used Browning brass was 40 years ago. For what I was shooting and knew at the time, it was good stuff. Went back to find more and it was not available. It may be worth buying 60 or so for measuring and testing, especially with a good price and the low availability of most 300 WM brass at this time.

HTH,
DocB

That makes me feel a little better, for the money (24.99 on sale right now) for a pkg of 50 is a sweet deal, even more so since you cant get it anywhere. I am in the middle just double checking right now about it.

I am also waiting on a call back about remington brass, and maybe 200 pieces of 300. win mag brass. But i need 400-500 pieces and dont want mixed brass!

Whats everyones thoughts on using different brass. (starting to get desperate :p)

Thats a good enough price. I would buy a package and prep it. Sort and weigh enough of it to form an opinion about it. If it works out ok you can go back and get what you need. Like DocB said, I have not seen Browning brass for a long time. I don't really know who makes it, but what I had long ago worked ok.

I just searched all of the places that I could think of and the only 300 Winchester brass that I found was some Norma at Midway.

He finally got back to me and said it is brass from about 30 years ago but was never used. It was sitting in a warehouse and he got it cheap. He said he has personally used it in 270 for hunting rifle and 308 for a target rifle and was very impressed with both of them. Im just trying to figure out how much of it he has and that way if he is sitting on a few hundred + then ill pick up a bag or two to test and if things go well ill grab the rest. But if he doesn't have a heck of a lot then i wont bother cause im in search of 400-500 pieces at least!

you could buy it all and pass it along to your fellow hide members if you don't like it.

unfortunately they dont do international shipping i dont think as it was the first thing i looked for trying to help you guys out. I know everyones as desperate as i am!
