Rifle Scopes Budget 60X Spotter

Re: Budget 60X Spotter

I never did understand the point of a budget spotter, whats the point of having one when you're not able to spot shots? Save your pennies and buy quality

+1 No such thing as a "Budget" Spotter.

However,
I have not looked through the new version of this spotter but it might be worth a try...

Re: Budget 60X Spotter

budget and spotter do not go well in the same sentence. Then you'll be back crying about you bust you ass to buy this spotter and it's a complete POS. Like I said, save you pennies and buy quality. Keep an eye out on the optics section here and buy one second hand. Most reputable companies offer lifetime warranty so you know your investment will always be covered.

Re: Budget 60X Spotter

I'm pretty new here but I've known for years that you just can't buy a good spotting scope for less than $800. Save up for it man. I'm saving for my scope and will be buying it next year. My scope price is about 3200 plus rings. I had to save for my 4k rifle this year and Im just buying the parts. Then I gotta save for the gunsmith work. ect ect ect... it's worth it! it's how i bought my mp5!

I disagree, my Bushnell Legend 20-60x80 @ $400 is good enough to see 7mm holes in paper at 400 yards. Past that, no amount of $$$ for a spotting scope will see through the mirage effect. IMHO

Re: Budget 60X Spotter

Back to th OP's post, try one of the new Redfield 20-60X they are fine, I think Optics Planet has them for $229.

I too say get the best you can afford but some are not wealthy like many here on the hide.

Re: Budget 60X Spotter

If you're going to pick up a budget spotting scope make sure you are WELL aware of the warranty that is going to be provided. Low quality spotting scopes will break down after a period of time and then you're SOL. Same goes for the tripod. There's nothing worse than F-ing w/ a POS tripod.
