I saw this over on another forum and I thought I'd share it for those with a Gen4 Glock that are wondering what they can do with all those extra grip panels. I took the medium beavertail grip panel and shaved about 1 1/4 to 1 3/8 off the bottom with a Dremel tool and cut off wheel. I probably could've worked a little harder to make the cut straighter but what the hell, it works. I sanded down and contoured the edges with some sandpaper to knock them down but other than that it was about that simple. Even with the bottom portion of the grip panel gone it still rides the frame close and snaps on as it did before so I don't foresee any issues down the road.
As far as function goes, for me it strikes a good balance between having the medium grip panel installed and having no panel. The pistol feels like it points more naturally and I can still easily activate the magazine release with my thumb without having to really shift my hand. I'm looking forward to trying it out at the range after my new sights get in.
