I ended up with a Rem 700p barreled action. What is a good budget stock and bottom metal? Anyone ever use a stockys lrc? I might also want to shoot a competion where you walk and shoot different ranges is detachable box better for this or does it really matter? Thanks

KRG Bravo. $359 for an excellent stock that comes with a DBM.

Magpul Hunter if you wanna look there too.

Personally I want to get a feel for the Bravo and the KRG XRAY before purchase.

I would look at a Grayboe Renegade stock packaged with a Mesa Precision M5 DBM. Red Hawk Rifles sells this setup for $399 IIRC and it is solid. I picked one up for a .223 R700 PSS and it has been great.

I have the Stockys with a Magpul DBM on my 22 Creedmoor. Doesnt get any budgeter than that, and I love it.

I also have the Grayboe Renegade/MPA RHR deal on another rifle.... Either would serve you well.
