Well, looks like my m16a1 transfer got approved a lot faster than I expected. More on that later. For now, I need to know what buffer setup to run.
I did a lot of research back when I bought the m16, but I seem to have forgotten a lot of what I have read, and now I don't have the time for the research. I remember that the VLTOR A5 setup was quite popular. The other option would be a traditional carbine setup with most likely an H2 buffer.
The gun WILL be run suppressed, but because it is a 10.5" full auto and Surefire rates their MINI (what I have) for LIMITED full auto use, the gun will be getting a healthy mix. The switchblock setup should cancel out the added gas from the can, so I would assume that this gun should be tuned to non-suppressed specs.
Any input would be much appreciated. Reliability is my #1 priority with softest shooting following close behind. I stockpiled somewhere around 5,000 rounds of mil spec 5.56mm ammo (Federal XM193 and XM855) so tuning for under powered ammo will not be a consideration at this time.
Thanks in advance,
-Bob
