Building an HK MSG90 clone and have a question about which barrel to use. Not really interested in the full 26" (650mm) PSG1 barrel but want to find a genuine MSG90 (24"/600mm) barrel or an equivalent domestic 1/10 twist match barrel properly fluted.
I haven't heard positive things about PRT barrels, something about fluting not being correct.
Is an MSG90 barrel less "heavy" than PSG1? Or is it the exact same thing, just shorter? Does it make sense to cut the PSG1 barrel to MSG90 length and recrown or just leave it alone? I understand the velocity gain is minimal between 24" and 26".
Any difference in quality between RobertRTG stuff and the hkparts barrel?
