Just wanted to say thanks for having me on Snipers Hide. I really need help to find someone that can custom make a bull barrel for a Savage 110 30-06. The measurements I'm looking for is 1.250 at the chamber and 1.250 at the muzzle. I'm also looking to upgrade the internal magazine to a high capacity. If you have any resources I would greatly appreciate it.

THE person to call is Jim Briggs at Northland Shootes Supply. He is the man when it comes to anything that has to do with Savage barrels. Absolutely the most good to go person that you'll have the pleasure of talking/dealing with. He sells Shilen and Criterion barrels. FWIW I've way better performance from the Criterion barrels. YMMV
Keep in mind you will have to ditch the barrel nut if you do a 1.250" straight taper, which means most likely, you'll need to send the action off to a gunsmith. You'll also need to open up the barrel channel in the stock to accept the barrel diameter as well as have it inletted for a DBM (drop bottom metal) to accept detach magazines. If I were you, I would just get in contact with a good rifle smith (recommendation goes to Short Action Customs) and discuss your requirements with them.
