For those that have not seen or heard of these yet, we came out with some Bullet Boxes. They are designed to work in Storm, SKB, and Pelican cases. Foam comes in two different sizes; 223 to standard cases and standard to magnum cases. They are made of polyurethane foam and house 50 rounds of ammunition. We offer a top plate with a grid for those that like a way to track ammo or to aid in load development.

We now have our site up and going and are offering a discount to Sniper's Hide members; use discount code: HIDEMEMBER

^not true. I have traveled with lots of airlines which have accepted my ammo in non-original boxes. Hell, I shoot a 6XC and I can't buy ammo from a manufacturer if I had to. Point is - there are no factory ammo boxes for my primary rifle.

Please take a min to verify that you're right before posting information. This sort of stuff perpetuates info that isn't correct.

I flew worldwide for 30 years with guns and ammunition. It was often an issue for myself and others. Might have changed now.
If it has changed, the guy still needs to know the difference between bullets and ammunition. Unless that has changed as well.

  • Ammunition is prohibited in carry-on baggage, but may be transported in checked baggage.
  • Firearm magazines and ammunition clips, whether loaded or empty, must be securely boxed or included within a hard-sided case containing an unloaded firearm. Read the requirements governing the transport of ammunition in checked baggage as defined by 49 CFR 175.10 (a)(8).
  • Small arms ammunition, including ammunition not exceeding .75 caliber and shotgun shells of any gauge, may be carried in the same hard-sided case as the firearm.
"Securely boxed" is good enough. Original boxes are considered "securely boxed" but I think the intent is to not have loose ammo or ammo in sandwich bags that could easily become loose. And I agree that there is a big difference between a bullet box and an ammo box.
