For those with more experience than myself....I posted this question over in the F Class section, but it's not getting any replies. I've been shooting the F class matches at my local club for the last year or so with a Rem .308 SPS - AAC . Now that i've finally gotten my custom 6.5 Creedmor, i'd like to start shooting it in the F Open class. I've ran three bullets through it so far, and i've had excellent results with them all: 139 Lapua Scenar, 130 Berger VLD, and the Sierra SMK 142. We only shoot 600 and 800 yard matches, so i'm thinking that one should be more than adequate for both yardages. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks,

Kevin

All three of the bullets are known performers in F-class for both LR and MR. I would find the one that shoots best, for F class look at which bullet holds the best vertical as you have more control over the vertical than horizontal. Personally I love Scenars as they are about the most uniform mass-produced bullet made and perform very well at LR, I primarily shoot at 1,000 yards.

I haven't found a .260 bullet that didn't shoot great yet, to me they are all good but the heavier ones do better past 800 than the lighter.
Pick anu one and go with it, you'll be fine.
