I like the Forster over the RCBS. When you loosen the collet to release the bullet on the RCBS the final tightening position of the handle can shift from case to case. Annoying. The Forster doesn't do that. Haven't used the Hornady. The hammer is just in case...and for short lead bullets in pistol rounds. JMHO

Ive been using the hammer type "Frankford Arsenal" Bullet puller for several years with rifle and pistol rounds. Although I made a real cheap way to cushion the impact and save rifle points. a small piece of canvas or foam shoved down in the nose of the hammer does the trick. Best of all tit costs about 16$.

If you have to pull more than a few bullets, you'll be glad you got a press mounted collet type bullet puller like the Forster or RCBS. I also have an RCBS impact bullet puller, but if you have to do more than 5 or 10, they're a pain to use.
