Depending on the bullet I may sort by weight if I am paper punching at long range. I will select a sample of 15 - 20 bullets from a box and weigh each one marking the weight. If they are just a few 10ths at extreme spread I will not sort them. I guess it depends what your experience is with the bullets that you are using. Weighing a bunch then take 8 from the extreme ends of the weight range. Load them the same and shoot two four shot groups and see if you see enough change to make you want to sort them all by weight.
