bullets for 223 8 twist

I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to shoot a 55 gr well, not sure why you would go too much under that. The Sierra match king or a Berger or hornady eld are the hot bullets and other than that there isn’t too much to it. I’d go 69 mk for the first try myself if I was doing 300 paper. Others may beat it out but the mk should be accurate for just about anything. It’s a safe option.

I have 77 gr SMK I use a lot of..But you now how it is being a hand loader..Y ou have to try everything out there....

What would you say is the lightest bullet that will be accurate in the 8 twist, for 300 yard
paper shootin..
There is no way to answer that question. There is no direct relationship between bullet weight and accuracy, disregarding wind drift.

The only caution I can give you from first hand experience is to watch the speed you push lightweight varmint bullets in a fast-for-caliber rifling. Excessive rotational speed + a thin jacket = bullets flying apart in mid air (typically)

You can buy a box of twenty from federal and have a look. They will not be a developed for your rifle load but worth the 18.00 to have a look.
