Bullets seated too far?

I am new to reloading and what to make sure that a few of my rounds are safe to fire. Is there such a thing as seating the bullet too far? I measured CBTO using Hornady Comparator Kit for 6.5 Creedmoor. Based on my measurement I am at 2.316 to the lands of the rifle. After loading a few rounds I realized my seating die was not set correctly. I have a few rounds that measure 2.000 or so...I know that's a huge "jump" but I'd like to salvage what I can. Is it safe to fire those? Do I need to pull bullets? If so can I just re-seat those bullets or will any of the components not be re-usable? Thanks for any help! Sorry for the newbie question.

If anything, you should see reduced pressure, because of the additional “freebore”! Rather than “waste” these loaded rounds (with the component shortage) get some form of bullet puller.....an inertia puller is rather inexpensive. If you’re cautious, you could probably partially remove the bullet.....then reseat to the desired length! Your not the first to do something similar, the more experience you get....the more experiences you will have! 😉 Good Luck! memtb

Shoot them as foulers. You’ll be fine. No need to do anything unless you’re on the ridiculous ragged edge of pressure which is where I run and I’d still just set them aside as foulers for after barrel cleaning.

I have a Frankford Arsenal Hammer style bullet puller. I could try that....I almost prefer to just shoot them as is if it won't cause any harm...definitely don't want to "waste" any component at all!
