When I was setting up my FL die to bump my .308 die (.002), I had pushed the shoulders back too far.

Through trial and error, I had screwed up 4 pieces of brass. Will these brass that were pushed back to far have a great effect on accuracy?
Thanks in advance

Great effect? Probably not. And if it does, it will only be for one firing.

If you're shooting BR, you may want to set those aside as foulers, but for most of the shooting I do, a few extra thou. on the neck is going to be lost in the noise.

Just for example: I shot, I think it was thirty, virgin 300WM cases a couple weeks ago to blow the shoulders out. They're between .025"-.030" shorter than my chamber out of the bag. They all fell roughly with in 1 MOA at 1000 yds. on a steel plate. Frankly I was a little surprised at just how well they shot for just being thrown together.

Now, if I'd inserted one of my lovingly handcrafted ELR loads in the middle, would it have impacted differently? Good question.

Re: Bumping shoulder

Probably no effect whatsoever that will be noticable. You should see some of my 6XC rounds before I fireform them out of 22-250...they look like mushroom heads, all crooked, crunched up, etc but the bloody thing will still easily shoot sub MOA. Dont know why, but they do.
