So a friend suggested a Burris Eliminator for my hunting. 308. Anyone know anything about them. Seems like a lot of functionality for a decent price, so I am suspicious. Thanks for any input.

its whatever. my grandpa got one almost two years ago. you program it to your bullet weight and velocity. there is a paper it comes with that you select the correct number off of that relates to you load then BAM! youre ready to shoot out to 500 (i think that was the max.) yards. have fun!

The eliminator is a nice scope for its purpose. For hunting around 500 yards, definitely works well. It is nice keeping your eye behind the glass and not loosing your sight picture as your ranging your target. One down side is in very cold weather the battery might seize up on you. You can counter that by throwing a handwarmer over the battery compartment for a fe wminutes though.

chris used one on an elk hunt, killed one at 400 yards. works pretty well from our experience
