I'm looking to get some bushing dies for my ARs in 5.56 and .308. I'm loading Lake City brass for both, LC NATO headstamp for the 5.56, LC and LC LR for the .308 (based on if I'm loading 147gr FMJs or 175 SMKs).

So, first question: Are there any significant differences between the Redding and RCBS dies?

Second question: When choosing a bushing, do I have to consider brass springback, or is that accounted for? I.E. If my loaded ammo is .339", and I want .002" neck tension, do I just go with a .337" bushing, or do I go smaller to account for springback?

From my experience when I use a 334 bushing the neck stays a 334, same thing when I load my 6 Creed, 269 bushing I get a 269 neck. I think RCBS and Redding both make very good die sets.

Brass springback happens as the case work hardens. If you anneal frequently you won't have any issues. When selecting bushing size, measure a loaded round and subtract .002"

I would recommend a collet die instead. Don't have to worry about different neck sizes and multiple bushings. One die takes care of it all.
