I was looking at pictures from shot show and I saw that Bushmaster had brought along their BA50. I had posted recently that soon I was looking to build myself a 50 BMG setup but then I saw this.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them and I am curious how they shoot. It seems like a very affordable repeater 50 cal at $3800-4000 new. I am not a big fan of that giant muzzle brake (I know you need one but even Armalite's AR-50 brake isn't that big) that they put on there but that can be replaced I'm sure.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Re: Bushmaster BA50 Repeater

Most guys here I think don't care for them. I personally own one and it is very accurate and most refuse to believe it. If looking for a repeater it is a good buy. Yes break is huge, but it kicks less than my 18" .308. It's a trade off in a few areas such as the trigger. If you don't need a repeater get an Armalite or surbu. If you want a nicer action (more traditional) get Tac or EMD.

Also you could change break if you wanted. Pm me if you have more detailed ?'s
