I need something in a variable power and have narrowed it down to the Bushnell 3200 5-15x40 tactical and the Nikon Buckmaster 6-18x40. I wanted a mil dot and exposed turrets but the moa turret and mil reticle is confusing me. My rifle is a 243 and will be used for hunting and paper punching anywhere from 50 to 600 yards. Also the scope needs to have good low light capability. Which scope will work better for this type of use?

+1 for bushnell.

I bought a 3200 Tac. and havn't looked back.

Ill probably toss up a lot of bad blood with this but Leupold is
great glass but you add in some $$ for the name in my opinion. I look through my scope in low light all the time and get perfect clarity. Iv never had a NF or Ziess or anything like that but its as clear as i need and you cant beat what you buy for $350 +/-

Thanks for the replies but now I am thinking I might spend the extra money and get the Vortex Viper 6.5-20X44. It is not that much more expensive and I believe that It will be worth it. I don't think the 6.5 power will be a problem at the closer ranges that I shoot. I have been using one of the original Simmons Aetec scopes for years. It has been an great scope for the money but I know the Viper will be much better.
