Night Vision Bushnell Equinox Z 6X-50, cover for the IR light

I got a new Bushnell Equinox Z 6X-50mm. I like so far. However, the built in IR light would glow red when looking at the IR. Is there a IR light cover filter the let the IR truly an IR and not visible to the naked eye?

Yes, there are filters that exist out there, but you'd have to cut it down yourself from a larger filter. However, you severely limit your distance by doing that. If the monoc is rated for say 1000 yards, you effectively cut the distance in half by adding a darker filter to say 500 yards.
