Hi fellas. I've already got a Bushnell XRS mounted on a .300 win mag I've got set up for ELR shooting with the big Bergers. I've had no problems at all and the scope tracks perfectly. This being with probably 250 to 300 rounds. The rifle is breaked but it still gives a pretty good shove with the 230 and 215 grain bullets and as I said , the XRS has worked flawlessly.
Now, I picked up an ERS 3.5x21x50 G2DMR two days ago. I've got another win mag that I use for long range deer hunting and think that this scope would fit the bill perfectly. My only question is has anybody heard reports of .300 win mags or similar recoil type rifles damaging the ERS's?? I read in a thread on the next page where a .338 Lapua pretty much destroyed one. So I guess I would rather be safe than sorry and get your thoughts. Thanks, Todd

I think that the previous thread pretty much covered it.

I'd get it, and not worry. If it bothers you that much, get something more.

I guess I should have said "bought" instead of "picked up" LOL... No, I got a smoking deal on it with Seekins rings and it was basically brand new. I think it will be fine. Thanks for your reply

I had a 300 shooting 208's that I had used one of the old Bushnell HDMR's on with zero issues. I sold that rifle/optic combo to a good friend, and he has used it quite a bit over the past year with 220's. No complaints from him so far. Rifle has a Surefire brake for the 762SS.

Thanks fellas. I figured the ERS would be just as tough as the XRS. I've got a good many "top of the line" scopes, but these Bushnell ffp scopes with the G2 reticle make me want to convert fully to Bushnell !! I'm a big hunter and these scopes are just plain AWESOME at first light or dark. Smoked a doe at 660 yards with the XRS and I had one of my NF NXS' on another rifle right beside it and the XRS kicked its ass in clarity at the given lighting condition. I LOVE my Night Forces too though.... Just like the FFP feature on the Bushnell better as well as the ocular fast focus

I would just shoot it. I'm sure depending on what muzzle brake a person uses has a lot to do with the amount of concussion a scope takes.....???? If a particular muzzle brake throws to much concussion back, just change it out. I bet that will have a lot to do with the cure.
