Bushnell Excursion FLP 15-45X60MM spotting scope?

Re: Bushnell Excursion FLP 15-45X60MM spotting scope?

I think they are excellent value for the money. I have managed to spot hits on birchwood casey shoot-n-c targets at 1000 yards with mine. Mind you a cool day with light or no mirage is essential, but that its possible at all for under 400 bucks is impressive in my book.

Get the newer one with the hash mil reticle if you can, the dot's seem less precise to me.

I have seen a few comments on this scope and all are positive, so far. The next good review I see is going to make me pull the trigger. I do like the mil-hash idea. I'll be watching this thread.

I have one.

It's built pretty well, and the glass is a very good value for the money. You won't find anything close with a FFP mildot in it for the price.

The only thing I did not like is that the tripod it comes with is crap, and you really see the difference in high end glass with this spotting scope at max magnification.

I think bushnell discontinued the mildot model last I heard. I was looking for one a couple weeks ago to no avail. It is the excursion FLP Tactical.

I even looked on fleabay and coudn't find one, so good luck. If you find a place that's got more than one please PM me.

Here's my post on the "mildot" version:

I see a slight distortion at the outer edge of view and I wish the eye relief were better. But, it does the job for the money. You'll need another tripod too, the bushy is just too flimsy. Had another person drop it on it's objective, bounced off the concrete and keeps on ticking...</div></div>

Someone has one for sale: http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2438013#Post2438013
