If you review the post on the scope titled "Bushnell FFP Mil/Mil 6-24X50 Illum Ret" you see the reticle plain as day. However you have a similar photo and no reticle. Also, I'm no genius here but if you view a circle at an angle, as illustrated in your photos, it would not be symetrical. It would be more oval or oblong. I tested my scope as you pictured and I can't recreate any of it. So, I appreciate the info here to a point but something is not adding up. </div></div>

I think the SWFA post is about the 12X model. A lot of people are saying that it is a bit hard to get proper eye relief when it is on 12X.

Welcome to SnipersHide recoil1451.

I don't know what you are attempting to insinuate but you are more than welcome to drop by here anytime and see what the pictures depict first hand.

We thought it might be an isolated incident with just one scope but after multiple returns we started looking into it further and every single one we have tested performs exactly like the images show.

Re: Bushnell FFP or Super Sniper FFP for 300 Win

Just stating I was not able to recreate the images you posted with either of my 4200 FFP scopes throughout the power settings. I always saw the etched reticle and I could not get a perfect circle like you have. Figured if the issue were as you indicate, it could be duplicated.

Re: Bushnell FFP or Super Sniper FFP for 300 Win

In my limited time on the Hide this is the best thread ever. I am torn between both of these exact scopes. The dollars in the jar are rapidly approaching the top, and it is time to purchase soon. BUT YOU GUYS ARE NOT HELPING! I want a clear winner, dammit!

Re: Bushnell FFP or Super Sniper FFP for 300 Win

I’m a little late to the discussion but have been pondering this same question and considering both these optics (among others) for quite some time now. I won’t attempt to answer Skeeter335’s original question about Bushnell FFP or SS FFP and don’t want to highjack the thread but would like to throw this out there…I just called Burris to inquire about one of their products and was given the following information reference a “trade-in” program they just started:

“This is a new program but we have no intention of discontinuing it at this
time. There is no limit either.

If you'd like to take advantage of the upgrade program you simply need to
trade in a traditional style Burris scope that is in proper working order
with the exception of the 3-9x40 rimfire scopes. You will receive a
discount of 40% off of the typical retail price on any one of our products.

If you decide to pull the trigger on this just let me know and we'll get one
of these on the way to you. You can just simply mail your trade in scope at
the same time.”

So…you can get a 4-16X50 Burris XTR (~$1000 retail) for $530 plus trade-in ($475 for the 3-12X50). If you don’t have a trade-in you can shop eBay or grab a Burris Timberline 3-9X32 from SWFA for $119. That’s a total of ~$650 dollars for a $1000 worth of Made in America glass.

Thoughts?
