Rifle Scopes Bushnell HDMR or Leupold MK 4?

Re: Bushnell HDMR or Leupold MK 4?

Look at what you want in the scope and what features are important to you. I have samples of both but lean toward the HDMR for its FFP offering as that holds a high value in my shooting.I do have a Leupold that is FFP, has Zero stop, locking turrets is MIL/MIL and has a large tube. It is a GREAT scope, but you cant touch it for the money you have in a comparable HDMR. as for he Std MK4s, I shot one for years and did well with it but I eventually grew away from a mil reticle and 1/4 min knobs. That and the canted reticle fiasco was the final deal breaker that moved me away from the mk 4s
Price point I think the Bushnell offers more for less than anything on the market at this time. And for the record, I also run USOs, Nightforces(Best deal if FFP is not an issue) Leupolds and a S&B.

Re: Bushnell HDMR or Leupold MK 4?

I was torn between the two myself and eventually went with the Bushy DMR with the G2DMR reticle..

I had the opportunity to compare both of them side by side and the Bushy just seemed "better" in just about every respect. The Leupold was a nice scope, don't get me wrong, but the turrets, reticle, and overall construction just seemed that much better on the Bushnell that it was a no brainier. The FFP and clearer, brighter glass on the Bushnell was a nice bonus as well.
