thinking of getting this for my stag model 3 for coyotes, how good is this reddot, was wondering how hard would it be to sight in at 100yds being since there is no zoom factor,or should i sight it in at 50

Re: bushnell trophy t dot

Its a decent red dot. I have one on a flat top for short range plinking. Its alright for 100yds but I probably wouldn't use it much past that distance. Only reason being that due to the length of the scope it has a bit of tunnel vision.

It seems well built and has held its zero for me very well. I zeroed it in at 50 yds and havent touched it since. I actually like the "T" dot because it gives you more points of reference than just a dot, which helps

If you want just a red dot its a good bang for your buck. However for coyote a nice 1-4x would probably be more useful for you. There are several manufacturers out there that offer models for not much more than you would pay for the bushy. In retrospect I wish I had gone with the 1-4x rather than a red dot.

Re: bushnell trophy t dot

I've had one for years on a Sig 556. no problems but some washout in bright sunlight even at the highest setting. considering I'm in the "sunshine state" it is a little anoying at times but still usable. can't hardly go wrong for $150, unless of course you need magnification.

most of the property i hunt max range is around 150yds so i was thinking of the t dot but ill look at some low powered scopes
