Jimmy Carter weaponized the EPA, DOT, etc. against progress. That was the era in which a government job became the goal of the worthless hippie activist. Get into government... use the government as a weapon to pursue their personal goals. Today, those hippie scumbags are at the pinnacle of policy-making. They are the Deep State... 30 - 40 years of experience pulling the levers of government power to pursue their personal agendas... learned at Woodstock... they are all three-bong-hit Foreign policy experts... and a couple of mushroom buttons and they are climate scientists. The reality... they are starry-eyed dreamers with Utopian ideas... no concept of a real world except that wishing it and legislating it... makes it true.
