WHY DO THEY ALWAYS BREAK??!?! goddamn it. broke 2 brand new ones today. is there anything better?

just knocking them on shit with them open while varminting, and they pop open when carrying the rifle slung as well



although my forehead is extremely solid

I've beet the shit out of mine and they keep working. I have had a couple in the past that just seemed to wear out.

I break them all the time. Keep quite a few on hand. When they work, they work.

I now use the Leupold Alumina covers for all my Leupold scopes. My NF NXS scopes get bikini covers. I gave up on Butler Creeks.

Has anybody tried the Weavers?
They are the ones that come on the NF 2.5-10x32 scopes. They are working fine for me, but I haven't banged them around very much yet.

I've had a few break. The last one that broke was on my wife's old match rifle. We were shooting a match and the thing just fell apart. It was almost brand new, there were probably 30 rounds through the rifle with it on there and it didn't get banged on anything. She had it flipped up and was taking a shot and it just fell off under recoil.
